Thomson Reuters Westlaw is an international database containing primary and secondary sources in full text. While the focus is on US material, it also covers Canadian and UK material. Like Lexis Advance, you should search it if you want your research to be comprehensive.
To search for jurisdictions other than the United States (for example; Canada) you will need to select International Materials first.
Here is an example of using Advanced search in Thomson Reuters Westlaw Law Reviews & Journals. This example shows the search terms graffiti /p copyright in the All of these terms field. This will search for articles where the word copyright appears in the same paragraph as graffiti.
Here is an example of using Advanced search in Thomson Reuters Westlaw Law Reviews & Journals. This example shows the search terms Legal graffiti & copyright in the Title field and the search term Epstein in the Author field.
After you have submitted your Advanced Search form, the journal article records will be listed in the centre of screen and sorted by relevance. You can re-sort by date or most-cited. You have multiple options to refine your search further on the left of your results.
Select from your results, and then use the delivery menu on the far right of the screen to either email, print or download them.
If your search terms bring back a large number of results, you can use the Search within results option.
You can select the author field to search for a specific name - just enter the author's surname.
You can also limit to:
