4. Editing a list

Add importance setting to a resource

Make sure you correctly set the "importance" for individual learning resources in a reading list.

Prescribed reading:

  • Informs the student that they need to read this particular resource for this unit
  • Resource may or may not be a part of the Prescribed Text for this unit

Recommended reading:

  • Informs the student that they should read this resource, but the resource is less important than a Prescribed reading
  • Provides a greater understanding on a key topic or clarity of a minor topic, but is not an essential information for the unit

Further Reading:

  • A resource that contains interesting information on a topic that students might like to read
  • A resource that students could read if they wanted to extend their knowledge in a specific area

Prescribed Text:

  • Resource that students are recommended to purchase
  • Resource that has been classified as Prescribed Text in the unit guide for this unit

Recommended Text:

  • Resource that students are recommended to purchase
  • Resource that has been classified as Recommended Text in the unit guide for this unit

Rearrange resources, paragraphs or sections on a list (4:05 min)

Delete resources, paragraphs or sections on a list

Academics are able to delete Resources, Paragraphs or Sections that they create on a list. For assistance with archiving or deleting a list please contact ereserve@deakin.edu.au.

 

Caution

Be aware that when a Resources, Paragraphs or Sections have been deleted from a list, there is no undo function if they were deleted by accident. Resources will have to be selected again from My List. Paragraphs and Sections will have to be rebuilt from scratch.
