After claiming an output, Elements will generally direct you to a Deposit screen, inviting you to attach any relevant files before the system deposits the output in DRO.
In most cases, Library staff will oversee this step and you should skip it by selecting Leave without depositing.
An important exception is for author-accepted manuscripts (AAMs). Also known as post-prints, AAMs are your final version of a paper, after you have responded to peer reviewer comments, but before the publisher's final copyediting, typesetting and formatting. Some journal licenses allow AAMs to be openly available in institutional repositories. This is sometimes referred to as green open access.
You are encouraged to upload a copy of your AAM. You can do this on the Deposit screen by:
It’s easiest to attach AAMs at the time you claim the publication. If this is not possible or if a publication has been auto-claimed, you can always find the publication in your profile and attach an AAM at a later point.
