LawCite is an auto-generated international legal case and journal article citator. LawCite is available on the free-access Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) website. It is an alternative to the commercially published edited citators.
AustLII contains full-text judgments from most Australian jurisdictions and some law reports. The LawCite citator indexes information that’s available on AustLII and other legal information institutes websites which are members of the Free Access to Law Movement.
With LawCite you can:
- view relevant case details such as judges, date of judgment, citation and jurisdiction
- link to the full-text of the judgment on AustLII
- view litigation history, cases cited by the case and legislation judicially considered by the case
- view subsequent case considerations and frequency
- view citations of a case if discussed in a journal available on AustLII
