We've explored the history and examples of genAI. The module has covered genAI principles and how Deakin is framing genAI use in your Deakin studies. The key part has been considering how to apply your critical thinking skills when using it.
As you continue your journey at Deakin you are encouraged to explore genAI tools and leverage their potential. Don't forget to critically evaluate the outputs and document how you're using genAI in your work.
This module was framed by the reflective question, 'How am I able to use genAI in my studies?'
Now that you've explored some ways that genAI tools can be used for studying, have a go at identifying how genAI could help you the most.
First, ask yourself – What is a routine task that could be enhanced using genAI? For example, responding to emails, creating presentation slides or converting lengthy readings to audio recordings.
If nothing comes to mind, we recommend exploring our GenAI prompts module. It provides ideas around productivity, learning, and augmenting your content creation through remixing.
Then, explore either the Futurepedia or AI Scout directory to find a relevant tool.
You can use the filter and category options to limit your search to free tools.
