Clinical Decision-Making and Evidence Based Practice

Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) or Evidence-Based Medical Imaging (EBMI) is an important aspect of clinical decision-making in health professions. It takes research evidence into account, as well as the health practitioner's experience and knowledge and the patient's values into account when choosing a course of action.

EBP is established in medical imaging. Diagnostic Imaging Pathways is a clinical decision-making tool which has been produced by the Western Australian state government.
