Digital research in Humanities and Social Sciences

About this guide

This guide provides a starting place for researchers who want to find resources about digital research in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The guide has three sections:

  • The Subject Specific Resources sections contain books, journals, and websites devoted to digital aspects of different discipline areas.
  • The Tools section contains a brief list of tools for different digital methods, resources for learning how to use them, and examples of projects using those methods. Some of the discipline-specific resources also include information on tools and how to use them.
  • The Primary Sources section provides sources of data with which you can use these methodologies. Some of these are proprietary databases for which Deakin has a subscription, and others are Open Access collections. When using Deakin's databases, please adhere to the licence agreements for those databases.
