Curriculum Resource Collection (CRC)

Searching for CRC items

The easiest way to search the CRC is via the Catalogue

You can search by ‘Title’ or ‘Author’ if you know these details, or you can perform a general ‘Keyword’ search. Select 'Curriculum Resources' from the drop down menu to ensure your results are from the CRC.

Click the arrow beneath the slides below to view some example searches.

Tip

Did you know that anyone can borrow items from the CRC? It's not just for Education students.

Borrowing CRC items

All CRC items can be checked out using the self-checkout machines, via the ‘Deakin Borrow’ Library borrowing app, or at the service desk. All CRC items can be returned to any Deakin campus Library.

Requesting CRC items from another campus

If an item is kept at a campus Library that is not convenient for you, place the item on hold and select your preferred pickup location. The item will then be transferred to that preferred location and await your collection from the hold shelf.

Posting CRC items to patrons

If you are eligible for our free delivery service, you may wish for CRC items to be posted to you. This can be requested when placing an item on hold. The request will be processed and items will be posted to your specified address. Further information can be found under Postal delivery on the Borrowing from Deakin webpage.

Caution

Most physical items, especially books, are able to be sent by post. However, there are a few physical items can't be posted due to their fragility, irregular size or shape. If this situation arises, Library staff will contact you to discuss your options.

These CRC items borrowed in person, will need to be returned in person to the service desk as they may not fit in the return chutes.
