Library Escape Room Behind the Scenes

The tools behind the build

Curious about how we built the digital Library Escape Rooms and the tools we wrangled along the way? We have the information and all the details for that - check it out below!

With a little help from all our tech...

We believe in keeping things sustainable and open, so where possible we have tried to use open source (or established) technology and programs within Deakin. With that in mind, a number of tools were used in the main build...

LibApps

A subscription platform, LibApps includes the LibWizard and LibGuides programs which were used to create the escape room questions and host the landing page respectively.

H5P

An open-source and interactive HTML-5 generator, H5P was used to add interactive elements to Library Escape Room scenes.

360 images/camera

A specialist 360 camera was employed to take the on-campus images of the different libraries. However photos taken with a smart phone can also be used.

Photo Editing

Completed with the combined power of Canva, MS Paint programs and the use of the Deakin Library Design System.
