Find theses

Where you search for theses depends on where the thesis was submitted and published.

Deakin theses

  • Deakin University Research Repository (DRO): Deakin Doctoral and Masters theses are curated and preserved in DRO. To find theses, you will first need to search on a topic.  You can then limit your results to thesis under item type.

Australian theses

  • TROVE: Australian content from libraries, museums, archives and other research organisations. Use Advanced Search to search Research & Reports, and limit by the format Thesis.

International theses

Exploring Library Resources: Theses module

To become an expert at finding theses, complete the online module: Exploring Library Resources: Theses on the Library HDR and Researcher Training CloudDeakin site.

To access the site:

  1. Visit the CloudDeakin homepage: https://d2l.deakin.edu.au/d2l/home 

  1. Click the Self Registration menu on the right 

  1. Click on the unit “Library HDR and Researcher Training” to enrol 

  1. The unit will be added to your CloudDeakin menu 

  1. Visit the unit via your CloudDeakin menu, or the Library HDR and Researcher Training unit link to access all resources, anytime you like.
