Theses provide an opportunity to find current research that hasn't been published through the usual channels. Theses can often be found in institutional repositories and specialist theses/dissertation databases.
Why search for theses?
- To establish what work has already been done in your discipline area
- To establish what gaps exist in the research
- To provide a valuable background to the research area
- To provide sources of further information via the references
